The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and HISTORY® are teaming up to
find 35,000 missing photos of Vietnam veterans. But we can't complete this monumental task
without the help of VVMF supporters like you.
The photos we're searching for will be displayed in our Education Center at The Wall as part of
VVMF's ongoing effort to honor the memories of every hero whose name appears on The Wall.
Putting faces to all of those names won't be easy. That's why I'm calling on you to help in two
important ways:
1) Participate in our nationwide Call for Photos. If you have a photo of a Vietnam veteran from your
hometown, your state, or anywhere else in this great country of ours, or if you're willing to become a
"history detective," you can pitch in by clicking here. Help spread the word on this important program.
2) Support VVMF with a special gift that will be matched dollar for dollar to help speed construction
of the Education Center at The Wall. A group of highly generous and patriotic Americans have joined
together to put up $5 million of their own money to match every donation made to VVMF before
Veterans Day, November 11. Please click here to make your gift go twice as far.
VVMF's Veterans Day Match Campaign represents a rare opportunity to double the impact of your
support without doubling the amount of your gift. With a total of $10 million in hand — half from good
friends like you, half in matched funds — we will be so much closer to making the Education Center
at The Wall an uplifting reality.
The Education Center will be a fitting complement to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and will give
more than 4 million visitors a year a greater appreciation for the heroes of Vietnam. Our construction
schedule calls for opening the Education Center in 2014. Long before that can happen, and before
we can turn over one shovel of dirt, we must meet our fundraising budget.
So, all of us here at VVMF are focused on a more immediate deadline: November 11, 2011.
We need to reach our $5 million goal by then to make the most of our Veterans Day Match Campaign.
Please do your part by making a tax-deductible donation to VVMF today.
As always, you have my heartfelt thanks for all you do to honor the service and sacrifice of America's
veterans. I hope we can count on you to help find missing photos of Americans who paid the ultimate
price for freedom in Vietnam.

P.S. Veterans Day will be here before you know it. When it has passed, the opportunity to have
your contribution matched will be over too. Please take a moment right now to give so your donation
can be doubled. Thank you!
Established in 1979, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund is dedicated to preserving the legacy of
the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., and promoting healing and educating about the
impact of the Vietnam War. Authorized by Congress, its most recent initiative is building The Education
Center at The Wall, an underground facility near the Memorial that is designed to add faces to all the
names on The Wall and tell their stories to future generations. Other Memorial Fund initiatives include
educational programs for students and teachers and a traveling Wall replica.
